The best thing about Papa Kona is it’s excellent view and close proximity to numerous tide pools for the young ones to explore.
The menu is a varied mixture of dishes focusing on mostly American fare with interesting variations like avocado fries and tropical drinks with a twist.
2. Kona Brewing Company
Does your kid need to be on a leash 24/7? Kona Brewing Company has a relaxed outdoor atmosphere and an outdoor playspace for kids to explore and play while to sit comfortably and enjoy your pizza and beer. That’s the main draw here. The food in general is fine. We recommend the slice and the salad and the beer is fresh. Other drink options are limited but available.
3. Willies Hot Chicken
With a fast casual cool kid vibe Willies Hot Chicken is great for families because of the indoor/outdoor eating spaces and good music. If you want something fast and inexpensive that allows you to sit while the little trouble makers run about this is a good spot. The picnic tables outside are a great spot for the family to gather around the table. Who doesn’t like chicken tenders? The chicken varies from no spice all the way up to ‘I regret I chose this’ levels of heat.
4. Beach Tree Grill
The best restaurant on this list for cuisine and atmosphere the Beach Tree Grill is both posh and casual. Located in Four Season’s Resort it’s great for kids who want to run around with other kids on the spacious grass and get wet and sandy in the nearby ocean. There’s live music and casual outdoor seating near the sand. There’s a massive grass lawn next to the restaurant where kids often gather and play. Bring a ball or frisbee for kids to entertain themselves whilst you enjoy the sumptuous Italian cuisine and fancifully crafted cocktails.
5. Journey Cafe
A bit more intimate, the bench seating and games provide a cozy atmosphere for the family as well as the outdoor seating space. Journey Cafe is a nice little escape from the norm. You can rent a dog for the day and the kids can take turns walking it around the back alleys here.
While this place is technically Vegan, the food is excellent for all kinds of foodies with a nice variety of delicious options.
